EZYSWEEP supports Class 4 venues in meeting their harm-minimisation obligations by providing structured processes for managing interactions with self-excluded or barred individuals, ensuring staff respond consistently and in line with society policies. For venues that enable it, the platform includes a facial recognition module used solely to assist with identifying excluded players to support venue safety and harm-minimisation, with strict access controls and clear limits on how the technology is used. Privacy remains central to EZYSWEEP, with all incident records and biometric information protected through strong security measures, defined retention practices, and committed to full alignment with New Zealand’s privacy requirements and the emerging biometrics code.
